An unrecorded manual for playing roulette and trente-et-quarante at the famous Casino de Monte-Carlo. It includes two coloured folding plates.
The first half of the booklet is devoted to trente-et–quarante, while the second focuses on the rules of roulette. The penultimate page includes the winter train schedule for the Monaca-Monte-Carlo line.
The publisher, Eugène Degand (1829–1911), was primarily known for producing photographic views of Nice and its surroundings. The final page features an advertisement promoting his scenic views of Nice and Monaco, alongside a selection of games available at his shop at 6 Rue Paradis, Nice.
