Illustrated Yiddish socialist school book by Deborah Tarant & Bezalel Friedman. First published in 1929, this is the fourth edition.

Published by the International Workers Order, a Jewish mutual self-insurance society founded in New York in 1930, the many illustrations include several portraits of Lenin.

"It appears to be aimed at children who already have vernacular command of Yiddish. The book begins with simple reading practice passages and ends with substantive prose and poetry pieces. The reading texts contain many references to the Soviet Union and to Lenin" (Noah Cotsen Library).
